The History of Don Pepin

Jose "Don" Pepin Garcia, along with his son, Jaime Garcia, has created other labels after the massive success of the Don Pepin Garcia lines, from both their Estelí, Nicaragua (Tabacalera Cubana) and Miami, Florida, USA (El Rey de los Habanos) factories under the My Father Cigars company. These were the first of the three ranges (the second was the Series JJ) to be produced, consisting of six vitolas and one limited release (the Lancero) produced for Puff 'N' Stuff Cigars Decatur, Ga. Full-bodied cigars are not recommended for beginner smokers.

Don Pepin Cigar Blend

A blend of 100% Nicaraguan tobacco is used to create the Blue. All Cuban-seed, this hearty mixture is made with a dark Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. The cigar is full-bodied and full-flavored, boasting a rich, spicy bouquet of flavor with an assortment of earthy nuances. Eventful from start to finish and ultimately satisfying, Don Pepin Garcia Blue is a delicious, well-balanced cigar.

In addition to being named among the World's Top 25 Cigars, number eight to be exact, Don Pepin Garcia Blue received a well-deserved '93' and '92' rating, noting: "An almost perfectly constructed lancero with an exemplary pigtail cap. The draw is perfect, loading the palate with rich coffee notes well balanced by spice, chocolate, and a leathery finish."
